I must admit that snakes have always frightened me a bit.....however I never miss a photo opportunity. So, when I saw a family of four garter snakes sunning themselves over by our cabin, I immediately started snapping shots. There were two adult snakes and their two young children. Luckliy, my dog Briar was on the other side of the yard at the time so they were left in peace. We've seen them since, but not as often as you'd think. Once they wrapped themselves around the knob at the top of the barbeque tank. My hubby went to turn on the barbeque and luckily he looked before reaching down and saw them. Funny thing is, Mick dislikes snakes more than I do and ran for the hose in hopes of persuading them to relocate.....which they gladly did. Now we find them down by our canoe or under the plastic that is on top of our pile of wood. Soon it will be winter and they'll be in their winter home.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
