Our friends Ann & Gord are wild about Gray Jays and I now know why. We had been planning for over a year to hike the Mizzy Trail in Algonquin and never got around to it. Finally, a few days ago we made plans to go together and I'm so glad we did. We got to meet their Gray Jays. It was surprising to hear that they aren't intimidated by loud noises, so talking was ok. It didn't take long before the first family of Gray Jays made their appearance. Ann had brought a good supply of home made bacon fat and they were very happy to land on our hands to retrieve it. I was very surprised at how gentle the Gray Jays were as they landed on my hand. What a great experience!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
